Paradise is real #YasawaIslandsHolidays
'Paradise'. We know the word gets used pretty loosely but if it is appropriate for anywhere, it's Fiji.
More than 300 islands set in crystal clear waters with palm-fringed white sandy beaches, tempting lagoons and colourful coral reefs is what makes Fiji so alluring. Perched on the beaches, you'll find what we consider to be some of the South Pacific's most amazing resorts!
More than 300 islands set in crystal clear waters
Relaxation is big in Fiji but if you're into adventure, there are incredible activities including some of the world's best snorkelling and diving, local villages to visit, cultural activities, hand-line fishing, hidden caves to explore, sailing, hiking... even swimming with sharks and manta rays depending on the season!
The Yasawa Islands
The majestic Yasawa Island group is the playground for Yasawa Islands Holidays. This chain of 20 ancient islands is very remote, rugged and 'real' and undoubtedly one of the most stunning regions in Fiji. Formed millions of years ago by volcanoes, the southern most islands of Kuata and Waya Lailai have dramatic elevations, honeycomb rock formations and summits just short of 600 metres above sea level. The pristine beaches and dramatic landscape provide a beautiful environment in which to relax or enjoy the many activities on offer.
Further north, azure lagoons surround white sandy beaches. This is the famous Blue Lagoon - the Fiji you dream of. As the name suggests, the water is the most inviting shades of blue you will ever see!
Many of the islands are home to traditional island villages and it's these people who make up a large chunk of the Yasawa Islands Holidays experience. There are just over 20 resorts, mostly Fijian owned and operated, sheltering in the peaceful bays of the islands of Waya, Nacula Bay, Nanuya Balavu, Naukacuvu, Naviti, Tavewa and Yangetta.
There is no doubt the first and last thing you'll see in Fiji is a huge ear-to-ear grin on a Fijian face, accompanied by a loud 'Bula!' Rightly so, Fiji is regarded as one of the world's friendliest places.
Many of the islands we take you to are home to traditional Fijian villages, which hold true to their colourful culture and traditions practiced by their ancestors some 3,000 years ago. The culture is particularly evident at 1 and 2 coconut resorts and you'll be welcome to participate in traditional rituals, such as the meke and kava ceremonies.
